Good Space Any Place
Good Space is a yoga + meditation studio in Parkdale, Toronto dedicated to movement and mindfulness.
Brand Identity, Logo Design, Content Strategy, Video Editing
During the pandemic, many businesses tried to stay afloat by pushing their business online.
I was approached to help transform Good Space to ‘Any Place’ an online platform that provides on-demand yoga videos, available to rent or buy.
Logo process
The primary logo was offset, so I explored different type variations that played with the alignment.
I experimented with the glyphs from the Space Mono font.
The tilde, aka squiggly character below the esc key on the keyboard, was expanded to illustrate movement and even replicate the child’s pose.
Coincidentally, the chosen logo is similar to the IGTV (Reels) icon on Instagram, where the videos will be promoted.
Following the kitsch style of the brand and playful copy, I led with a pop-up window and sticker design to introduce the brand.
Inspired by the product of ‘on-demand videos to rent’ I had a theme of designing 98’ windows-era pop-up boxes. The stickers were used to highlight the product’s features.
Using the brand’s secondary colour palette, I incorporated them in gradients to embody the theme of the brand’s energy and lightness.
Series of animations for stories
A 10-week campaign was launched to advertise ‘bite-sized’ videos.
From Instagram posts to redesigning the mail out via Mailchimp, I introduced Any Place’s identity and it’s features on a weekly, consistent basis.
Mini yoga videos were then introduced to give the audience a taster of what the classes will be like. The videos were used in promoted ads, resulting in a 80% increase in new subscribers, followers and engagement on social media.
